13' SG Donte Clark

*Tennessee just offered, Memphis followed with offer.** Plays for Georgia Stars, features a few Tennessee recruits on that team*

Donte Clark
SG
6'4" 180lbs
#95 national ranking

Scouting Report-ESPN

Strengths:
Donte is a long, athletic wing with a good - not great, yet - skill set. He excels at putting the ball on the floor and finishing above the rim. He can be described as a natural scorer. He's a good off the ball defender and because of his length plays the passing the lanes very well.

Weaknesses:
Donte is not yet a great shooter. He's ok but definitely needs to add consistency - not just to his shot but his overall game.

Bottom Line:
The upside is there with him. He's a bit of an under the radar player heading into his all-important senior summer. He's done well for himself in the spring.

Sounds like too many of the wing players Pearl recruited/signed. Great athlete, "natural scorer" (a description I hate, as it usually refers to guys who can dominate average HS competition, bit struggles with better players at the collegiate level), shot needs work, etc.

The espn scout is pretty old fwiw

That's why I added his eybl stats from this weekend, shot the ball pretty well there.

I've not seen him play in person so can't say too much.

BTO he supposedly is a teammate or plays on the same team as Jarquez Smith. But he is a Top 100 player but I wonder just how many SG's we can sign especially if we land Hubbs or Crawford or Thornwell (2 out of those 3). We need post players at least possibly 3 if Stokes leaves.

Correct plays with jarquez on the Georgia stars as well as with aj Davis, another 2013 recruit, and jalen Lindsay a 2014 recent.

CCM is trying to get in on a few wings it'd seem like instea of focusing on a couple and hopefully not missing. I mean right now who knows where we are with hubbs top 6 maybe, thornwell is still open to about 10, and Crawford were #2 on his list. So if they all committed today we could miss on all 3 of those guys.

Same reason he's after Taylor, Kingsley, agau, Williams, Nichols, Edwards, Rimmer in the post, you're not gonna sign them all but hopefully you can sign 2 out of that group. Same theory applies to the wings, hopefully you can sign 2 out of that group.
