| Roscoe Smith- UCONN transfer There have been over 400 transfers this offseason. Granted we are not interested in many of the players, but our name hasn't come up in the conversation for any of them. Cuonzo's class is below average this year and next year isn't looking special either. Pearl got the job done with transfers and I think Cuonzo needs to get his program established with transfers too. With Stanton leaving, that should open up a scholarship spot. We should be looking at kids that need to sit out a year and play in 2013-2014.
Roscoe Smith from UCONN is one of those kids. He is 6'8, top 30 recruit in the 2010 class. I would think Cuonzo should give him a call. He could come in and fill the 3 or 4 spot. |

| Stanton wasn't on scholarship. We currently do not have a scholarship to offer to anyone, highschooler or transfer. |

How does his class next year appear to be below average? It's setting up to be a very good class.
Also, with Stanton leaving that doesn't do anything for our scholarship situation, he was a walk on.
I do agree however roscoe smith is a good player, but if you look at who his final schools were before he picked Uconn, he'll probably be heading to one of those schools. |

I expected more out of him. He got Maymon, but Cuonzo made Maymon the player he was this year. He was terrible with Pearl. Tyler Smith was coming back regardless and would have been here anyway. JP Prince was from Tennessee and wasn't doing much at Arizona. I'm not hating on Pearl, just think that transfers look at schools they were recruited by and you have to have an open spot. |

This is the stuff that makes VN special. |

| I will say if there's a transfer id like it'd be Xavier's mark Lyons. Good pg, eligible to play immediately, and only 1 year of eligibility so doesn't take a scholarship next year year.
However I don't think tennessees even in consideration just saying. Fwiw Arizona, Kentucky, and Kansas are after Lyons and right now Arizona appears to be the favorite. Hopefully he goes there and not Lexington. |
