I would rather work with an idiot AD than to take the basketball job at Columbia. I can't believe this move has really happened.

Perhaps this deserves its own thread...

so the mods can split this if necessary.

I wanted to spin this forward.

On selection Sunday I saw pundits on various networks say that the message the committee sent was the need to schedule well out of conference.

That said, with Mizzou and A&M coming in, along with the addition of F. Martin at USCe, should CCM go Tom Izzo and schedule tough out of conference? Or will the conference get enough respect to merit a softer non-conference schedule?

Thoughts?

(FTR, I like the Izzo approach if we have the numbers/talent to make it work.)

With out current talent level and expected results top 30-40 team, I'd say schedule a decen OOC. It doesn't have to be Izzoesque because we don't have the team that he usually does, but at the same time you don't want it to be a cupcake schedule.

So far we play Memphis, Virginia, Oakland all OOC and will most likely play 2 out of nc state, penn state, Xavier and Princeton iirc. Not a bad OOC.
