| It all depends if we get Trae help at the PG position and Cuonzo's development of McRae and Richardson. Richardson is a much smarter player than McRae. McRae is probably the most overhyped prospect I have watched in a long time. He is a top 30-40 national recruit and in basketball at the shooting guard/small forward position you need to be able to shoot, which he cannot do, since he shoots 3's at .328 percent, which is bad.
His athleticism is THROUGH THE ROOF, but his lack of physicality and shooting ability are major concerns. He has to put in the most work by far this offseason if he wants to think about having a career in b-ball and taking Tennessee to the next next level next year.
On a side note, Maymon is a better NBA prospect than McRae. Remember Maymon was also not much behind the McRae in the high school rankings, although they were a year or two apart. This was discussed earlier but people were giving McRae wayyyyyyy too much credit. He is a one dimensional player that doesn't know how to properly shoot the basketball or pass the b-ball, averaging only 1.5 assists per game. Additionally, he averages 1.5 turnovers a game, so his assist to turnover ratio is 1-1 which is crap.
Look at his performances this year he did not play well in the big games, he played well against crap teams, except the UF games where he showed up. He has a ton to prove and has to start by playing a lot smarter.
