I've seen some with this opinion and others with the opposite. It seems the consensus is he's a 7'1" big man that has only been playing ball 3-4 years and is raw. People say he's a hard worker and is really working hard to become better and supposedly is working with a post coach. More should come out from a scouting standpoint during aau ball this summer and we should get a much better idea of what he brings.
In any regard, at 7'1" if he's the least bit athletic if coached properly can be an effective C for us. We are in dire need of post men in the 2013 class so I have no problem with this offer at all and would like to pull him since our chanes with kinglsey seem to have dwindled.
If you land: Landry, Hubbs, Thornwell, Crawford, Nichols & Edwards that's solid IMO. Nichols will play the 4 and yemi the 5 and Edwards can play a year behind yemi still professing in his basketball skills. Maybe I'm overestimating him, but unless hes completely uncoordinated and unathletic(Kenny George) then I say bring him in.
