| This might hurt UT slightly in Memphis recruiting, but I think Coach Martin's background & personality will more than make up for it. Stokes succeeding at UT will also be a bigger deal. |

| | Senior Member | I have never understood why playing UT was such a bad idea for Memphis. Sure a game will not be played in Memphis but it is not like a prospect can't find UT playing on TV. As much as Memphis tries, they will never be able to get the "TN" removed from their address. If nothing else, not playing UT could actually help in that kids might be more intrigued with UT since they won't see them yearly in their backyard. |

| Coach cal recruited Atlanta area pretty well and the Tennessee games made that possible with Knoxville being right down I75
i don't think he can recruit Memphis well enough to succeed in big east... Ole miss and miss state are almost as strong as Mermfus state.... Btw, coach cal is still strong in Memphis recruiting circles |
