| 2013 TX C Dominic Woodson 6'10
260
Round Rock, TX
ESPN Evaluation
Strengths:
This is a big with a diverse skill set. Absolutely committed to rebounding, Woodson has a presence in the lane. Very good finisher and he will put down the balls he's supposed to finish. His face up game is legit from the baselines and mid-wing area. Because of his IQ, you can run offense with him and he's an ideal high-post passer. Remarkable feel as a passer for a kid his size.
Weaknesses:
Athletically he's average and therefore has to rely more on his skill and knowledge around the floor. Would like to see a scoring move in the paint with a counter. Needs more explosion going to the rim.
Bottom Line:
What we have here is a native of Texas who's been coached and responds well to coaching. He wants to get better and takes coaching well. Can play in just about any offense because of his overall skill set. Top 100 talent in the 2013 class. Dominic Woodson's stock continues to rise - ESPN
From SLAM: "Most of the other guys on the list have bigger names and have all reclass’d a year, but you could make a case for Woodson outplaying any underclassmen at the National Prep Showcase. The true junior threw around his 260-pound body in the paint to snag boards, but also shocked most onlookers with his ability to step out and shoot the lights out out to the college 3. Playing on center stage on the loaded Northeast prep school scene, expect the Texas native to be a household name among recruiting circles by the end of the season."
From Rivals: "A native Texan, the 6-foot-9, 250-plus-pound big man slid into the national top 100 for the class of 2013 following the summer. It looks like his climb up the rankings will continue. Not only is he big and strong, but he dominates the glass, has soft hands and a high level of skill."
Profiles Dominic Woodson - Yahoo! Sports Basketball Recruiting - Dominic Woodson - Player Profiles - ESPN
Has interest in Tennessee, no offer as of yet from what I've gathered.
Him and Kingsley would be a nasty 1-2 punch in the post.

| You know who else was committed to rebounding? Kenneth Faried. Although Faried seems to be more athletic between the two, I'd definitely take someone of the same mindset. |

That's some serious length/size right there...
and if Jarnell wants to stay for one more year for his junior year

I'm just saying u can't say he's a great recruiter YET... Just bc rivals or whoever says theres interest from a top 100 guy in the next class, doesn't mean he's ours. Jarnell is the only really good get to date. That was a fantastic job by him, but let's not crown him as an elite recruiter yet. Hope he keeps up the good work, so we can call him a great recruiter tho.. We will need it with calapari, Donovan, and fox in the league... |

Landing Stokes definitely gave me a little peace of mind.. The first few guys he recruited had me a little worried about his ability and/or idea of what it takes to win in this league... |

I know he didn't get in and that Bruce started with him but just referring to CCM ability to recruit he showed a great ability to be able to have jones recommit as well IMO. |
