Gotta get the next 2. i think a small goal is to try and go 8 and 8 in conference and get the 6 or 7 seed in the con tourny. Mainly so we could avoid uk in the 2nd round and would also put us in the evening session bracket. So this would mean atleast one road win which is why i say .500 is a nice goal.

So far we have shown a good knock to be able to boune back from tough losses and get a win. It's time to put uk behind us and beat the teams that we are capable of beating, UGA is first on the list.

anyone interested in watching our next opponent UGA is on sec network right now playing auburn. this game is at auburn, im gonna try and put myself through the entire game, this could be uglier than our game with auburn.

remember that auburn team we all said was horrible? just handled UGA, figure that one out?

there is absolutely no reason that we should not handle and beat UGA easily, anything less than a 15 point win would be a dissapointment IMO. a win is a win, but UGA is as bad as anybody in the league and we owe them payback big time, use this as a confidence game.

I have tix to the SECT. I hope to not be in UK's session so I can avoid having to listen to that crap inside the building and, to their credit, so I can get some much-needed cash back.

so ive not ever been to the sec t, and was really considering going this year since its in new orleans, fun trip. stub hub is showing them for about 650 for all sessions. is this accurate, or i have heard that you can go down there and pick up tickets after the first game from peoples who's teams have lost. seems odd that tickets are so high yet these tournaments usually seem pretty empty, but just curious about any information thanks.

Don't pay 650, especially with UT being down and the event being far away for even the UK fans.

I hate UK, and I considerate it to be worth the cost of tix I can't sell if they lose, but in the event that UT loses early, you can at least dump your tix on a UK fan for a nice return.

The face value was 350, I think.

If we're not in UK's session, you'll be able to pick up tix on the street for below face value. Even if we're in UK's session, prices in New Orleans on the street shouldn't be too high until Saturday.

If you don't have tix now, I'd wait and pick them up on the street. You'll only get "burned" by waiting if UT reaches the semifinals and UK's still playing.

You are correct that it's possible to score the entire tournament for a decent price by buying from a team that loses very early. But, you'll be competing with lots of buyers from BBN.

so what your saying is best bet would be head down with no tickets and just head over to the arena prior to the games i want to attend and buy them off scalpers?

Yep. If you're in a group that must sit together, and you're interested in the whole tournament, then you could look around the other teams' websites to try to find tix at face from a school that hasn't sold out its allotment.

Otherwise, yeah, I'd buy from scalpers. You should be able to get a lower level seat for UT's Thursday game for very, very cheap - UK won't be there yet. If someone shocks the world by eliminating UK on Friday, then street prices will plummet.

You'll get Thursday on the cheap, and you shouldn't have to spend too much for Friday either. We'll probably lose by then. If we win, then you can either spend an arm and a leg on Saturday, or watch from Bourbon Street somewhere.

seriously though, so as big as that place is if UK is still in it they will have enough people there to drive prices up that high?

It couldn't possibly be as pricey as when it's in Atlanta or Nashville, but you have to remember that a lot of UK fans spend all of their vacation money for the entire year on the SEC Tournament. To me, that's a waste, but they love their basketball and not much else.
