| Not that it really matters, but... I had never really had much experience around Kentucky basketball fans at a game before today and I'd really not care to have much around them again. "You can't shoot" is as creative a chant as you can produce? Really? The ones I met in person were huge douches as well. Guess it was (bad) luck of the draw because the UK fans on here seem to be good people, but...come on, man.

| I understand where you are coming from because my husband and I have been to several UT/UK games @ Thompson-Boling Arena and they act that way every time we go ..And they act that way because most of them have this "self-entitlement" and "the world revolves around my cats" and "everyone else sucks attitude" ..Just because they have a successful program doesn't mean that have to put ours or anyone's down ..I mean they need to show some class if they have it in them ..I do agree that the ones that come on here are classy, as is other opposing team's fans.
BTW..I love your avatar..She is either pissed off because her team is losing or she lost a bet and to put on that costume..LOL!! |

| Well to start with. Kentucky fans love Kentucky basketball because there is nothing else in the state to pull for. Secone of all the Tennessee players i do not think Maymon is the only one that can play in Kentucky's 8 man rotation. And they beat Tennessee by 3 points. That tells you coach Martin is going to be good for Tennessee. Stokes will be able to play for anyone. Glad he is a Vol. |

| i really wish that we would make it a lot harder for uk fans to get into tba though. they said estimated for 5 or 6k uk fans at the game. you would be lucky to find 100 at rupp later in the year, and that includes our teams bench. |

| A very obnoxious fan base. I had some buddies from Australia with me at today's game and even they commented on how obnoxious and rude the UK fans were. To quote one of them "I guess that's the definition of a redneck, eh mate?" |

| I have to disagree with this. Maybe it was the section I was setting in; but, fans from both sides were civil with each other. There are always going to be that one d-bag who likes to ruffle feathers, and there were a couple from both teams today. Fans from both teams cheered hard for their own teams and had an occasional disagreement with the refs but never really trashed the other team. As we were all leaving Tennessee fans were congratulating Kentucky on the win and Kentucky fans was telling the TN fans to be patient because they are going to have a very good team. Be careful to point a finger toward others because there are three pointing back at you. I really enjoyed my experience at TBA, KY fans, and TN fans. |

| | Senior Member | The ESPN announcers made it easy to convince the blue homers that they were getting screwed on calls (granted, no one at TBA heard them). Gottlieb spent forever complaining about the refs calling a charge was it was (barely) a charge. And, the in-game announcers did point out that T. Jones' 5th foul was crap. Well, Hall got fouled going to the rim when it was 60-54, and there was no call. That 0-trip basically ended it, barring a run of desperation 3s. |
