Trae Golden most improved vol....ever?

I realize it is a little premature to make a statement like this after only watching him play three games this year, but his impact on the court has been undeniable in that time.

Trae was a liability on the court last year and I would have just assumed see Melvin play 40 minutes a game. The PG play last year made us long for the good old days of Bobby Maze, flash forward and here we are watching Golden put up 29 in the first regular season game of the season.

His improvement from this time last year to now is just startling, give the kid a hand.

Is it possible that TN BB could be better than predicted?

He showed flashes last year, but just never seemed chosen for the role by CBP. I expected him to be our best player this year. Sure looks like it so far.

I already expected us to be better than we have been projected, we may even be better than I had originally thought. I will have to see more games against stiff competition, but I am optimistic we can be the 5th or 6th best team in the sec.

Having a former PG as his head coach is gonna be huge for his career imo.

yeah, his stats were amazing, setting tons of personal records all in one game:

Golden set career-high in: points (29), assists (9), rebounds (6), field goals made (10), field goals attempted (14), 3-pointers made (9), 3-pointers attempted (9).

Pretty obvious this system is much more suited for Trae

Golden was awesome tonight. I never really expected him to look that good. I certainly hope he keeps it up.

I saw Golden hit nothing bit the backboard twice from the 3 point line. He wasn't 9-9. Absolutely outstanding game though.

Golden is just a sophmore, so his play last year had a lot to do with adjusting to college basketball. You could tell he had ability last year, but looks like his confidence is high and he is playing some good basketball right now. Really looks like he has stepped up to the plate to lead this team, which is good since he is the PG.

IMO typically you tend to know a lot more about a college basketball player in their freshman year than you would a college football player for instance and everything I thought I knew about Golden was wrong.
