I hated hearing the kid got a Duke offer. I knew they were showing interest but I was hoping they wouldn't extend an offer. Going to be even tougher to get this kid now.

I am glad that schools such as Duke and NC are offering players we are recruiting. They can not sign all of them and it tells me we are recruiting top notch players.

I agree with this. I would much rather UT recruit the best and take some lumps here and there, than them to be competing with lower level schools for guys we have never heard of.

This just doesn't make sense in this guy's scenario. A rescinded Duke/NC offer doesn't change this kid's basketball abilities.

All the offers do is lessen the chances of him coming to UT. I'd rather the powerhouse teams overlook the guy while concurrently help UT's chances of landing the guy.

Seems as if you have given up before you start.

This kid has been instilled leadership and life skills his whole life. He will be a program builder where ever he ends up. Here is a great article from an Arkansas site that outlines that.

Rumor that he committed to Duke tonight, but a poster on Volquest has dismissed the rumor.

It just mention top schools in terms of recent success. These are not schools that Robert mentioned. Believe me UT is a player. It appears that UK will be pretty soon too. He showed out at Chicago this weekend.

It was the most recent one I saw. Tennessee is not mentioned, but there are no quotes from Hubbs about any imparticular school. Just the writer's opinion of "big time" schools as orangelo stated. I wasn't implying that Tennessee was out of it either. Only that in the article, Tennessee was not mentioned.
