here is tidbit from TOS

Martin was a big part of both JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore recruitments and subsequent signings with purdue in 2007.

On a Tennessee recruiting note, as of right now Kevin Ware has not talked to Martin yet

Anyone know anything else?

My family are Purdue diehards and they love Martin to death! He played a HUGE role in getting guys like JaJuan Johnson ,E'Twaun Moore and Scott Martin (now at Notre Dame) to sign with Purdue. He has great ties to both the St.Louis and Chicago areas. Being a former Purdue standout he will also be able to recruit the state of Indiana.

If Painter was going to Mizzou, Martin was everyone's #1 choice to take over for Painter.

This is a pretty good thread from the Purdue board in reply to a Mizzou fan asking about Martin, who from rumors was Mizzou's #2 target behind Painter.

I'd say UT signed him away from MU because of the recruiting connections and recognition he has in the Big Ten and Missouri Valley Conference. The guy has been a success every where he's gone and Knoxville will be the latest recipient of his work ethic.

You understand that we're talking Missouri State... Springfield, State of Misery... Missouri Valley Conference.... Coach K, Roy Williams, Bill Self AND Coach Cal couldn't drag better players there.

And he won with those players.

The facts are what they are. I was just posting the information. FWIW, there are some mid majors that have committed players in this years Rivals150.
