Search Committee ?

I've seen numerous threads talking about who everyone thinks will be the new basketball coach at UT. I would like to know who would be the people charged with making that decision. Who would everyone want on that committee ? Make up a "Dream Team" of people that would have the very best interest of the program in mind. While you're at it, give some names of people that would make top-notch Athletic Directors. Thanks.

Committee: Ernie & Bernie, A. Houston, D. Ellis, Don DeVoe for starters

AD: I'll refrain from saying who I'd like cause I know it'd just cause a big fuss.

That's a great question. No one seems to know this. Hubbs said he just thinks that Cheeks will be heavily involved and didn't know who else would be.

Don't know about the search committee, but I would love to have Grunfeld as AD. It probably won't happen though so I guess a more reasonable choice would be Mike Roth from Gonzaga.

New AD will have to have more football expertise than Gonzaga's AD, I would think.

I completely agree, but I could see the University making a bonehead move just to find a quick fix and I could see him taking it.

Don't think they would give up their cash cow-football. Could have another Dooley in our future. (said half grinning)

Expect your major boosters to have somebody in mind and push hard for them. If they don't get who they want, the money will stop flowing in. Thats a big reason why we went after Cal. I wouldn't be surprised if the boosters made the entire list themselves and then the pres/ad prioritize the list and go from there.
