Hat, once again, you know the people involved for the most part, but what makes Laramie a decent job, if compared to somewhere like UVM? Just trying to get a feel for the landscape, i guess

The Mountain West is a big time league. Also, Wyoming has a decent tradition and a history of putting guys into the professional ranks. They've also got pretty good facilities. For comparison's sake, I'd rather be the coach at Wyoming than Auburn. I think you're more likely to put together a good run in Laramie.

Just odd that they can get talent there where Cent Conn is shallow, but i guess the plethora of teams in the NYC area plays a role. Wyoming can get their country strong 6'10 guy who wins games.

Not sure of your age, hat, but did you follow Calhoun when the UC, not Northeastern, huskies were being born? As a little **** i was always Tate George

Wyoming also has an advantage in that the Mountain West is a very JUCO friendly league. They get a lot of guys through that route.

I remember Calhoun when he was coaching Reggie Lewis at Northeastern. Scott Burrell was a favorite of mine. I also enjoyed watching Doron Sheffer.

I was on vacation as a kid in montreal and my dad caught WTIC radio, when the guy said Reggie Lewis, the captain of the Celtics, is dead.

That series when he went down against Charlotte, i remember McHale scoring (i think) 42, and trotting back down the floor pointing at Bird, like "we got ya"

Kind of off topic, but do you think Duquesne can hold serve at home against Xavier on Saturday?

Hat, I don't think I've asked you this before - What do you think of Billy Kennedy at Murray State?

Doubtful. They'll have a really, really tough time keeping X from just annihilating them on the boards. That said, Duquesne has found a way all year.

He does a decent job, but Murray's program is almost idiot proof. You have to be incompetent not to win there.

True. Historically good and very little competition in the OVC. How would you compare him to Cronin and his tenure there?
