| The Center position: Williams, Fields, and Hall Coach Pearl said on his radio show that two of the three will play between Williams, Fields, and Hall. He acknowledged that Hall didn't get minutes because of the other two, so Hall must be considered at the 5 spot only.
So who is our best two of the three? Zero points for Willams tonight while Fields had 8 points and 10 rebounds. Hall had 4 points in limited minutes.
How long before Fields wins the starting job? |

| It's a good question. I didn't think I would be asking it, but Williams has seemed a bit stunned so far this season. I think that Williams keeps the job, but that is largely because I haven't seen enough of Fields to feel comfortable giving it to him. We heard a lot of good things about Williams during the off-season....I hope we start seeing it. |

| As some have stated elsewhere, I think Brian will be more effective than Fields when we play better teams. I could be wrong about Williams, but Fields is looking like a great player so far. I think it would take at least one more poor game for Williams to really justify yanking his starting position. |

| They aren't giving Williams the ball at all. We almost never feed it inside. Kind of baffling. |

| Fields is WAY more aggressive. That's energy on the floor. He'll get it. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| Fields should start next game. Whether he will remains to be seen. Brian Williams has been bordering ok nonexistent so far. He doesn't demand the ball and when he gets it down low, he is nowhere near aggressive enough on the offensive end. Much too soft on offense.
Fields has shown more passion and appears to take basketball more seriously. Pearl was glowing in his post-game remarks. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| Fields >> Williams > Hall
Williams is still shooting fade aways for some reason. He lost all that weight and went to a special trainer over the summer to get mean and tough.... and he's bricking fade aways over UTC post players. Ridiculous.
Fields needs to start. Bottom line. |

| Hall is going to play for us, especially if we run into big teams.

| I think it's hard for Williams to get used to Chism and Prince not being around. He's kind of out of his comfort zone i think, and hes getting used to the new players. Remember this time last year? He starts slow, but builds as the season goes on. |

| Fields is better than Brian. He's quicker, plays with more intensity, great on defense, and right now he scores just as much as baby. Brian better step it up. |

| | Senior Member | Why can't Hall backup Tobias at the 4? There is something wrong if Hall can't beat out Steven Pearl. Steven had a nice bucket on Friday, but he followed it up with a bad turnover that led to a UTC score.
Steven plays hard and is a serviceable reserve, but it's saying something if he's playing more than Hall. |

| You guys saying Williams should lose his job know they have only played one game this season. You can't judge by any of the exhibitions because we weren't plying like we would in a regular season game. Posted via VolNation Mobile |
