Hamilton says Pearl will be retained even if NCAA suspends Pearl for a year

Just said on "The Drive" with Dave Hooker that they have a plan in place for all scenarios, including a one-year suspension and that Pearl would be retained in that scenario. Hamilton says he believes that the letter of allegations will be delivered in the next few weeks and the meeting with the infractions committee will be in the late winter or early spring. He said the ruling should come down late in the spring or more likely next summer.

I bet the "Come play for a substitute teacher for a year" approach would really play well to elite talent. That is as stupid an idea as anyone has come up with at UT since the BOT thought Wade Gilley was the perfect president.

I dunno, Urban pulled in a pretty strong class even though he gave no indication of when or if he would return. Of course that only lasted like 6 hours...
