All Second-Place Team

Over the past five years, Pearl has done quite a remarkable job of recruiting. However, with the hits, you also get the misses. It's amazing to see a team of guys we just missed out on getting. Here's my All Second-Place Team of missed recruits:

PG - Josh Selby
SG - Elliot Williams
F - Mac Koshowal
PF - DeJuan Blair
C - JJ Hickson

A little heavy on the frontcourt, but I blanked out on a SF. Still, look at that team.

Regardless, we still have plenty of talent to do a lot of damage. And, honestly, Selby is a great talent, but I've never been enamoured with scoring point guards. I would've loved to have him, but I'm not completely crushed that we didn't get him. I was more devastated losing Hickson as I think the he was the difference between a loss to Louisville and a Final Four in 2008. We needed him down low that season.
