Former Tennessee baseball All-America and National Pitcher of the Year Luke Hochevar (2004-05) struck out a career-high 13 batters in seven innings to help the Kansas City Royals end a 10-game losing streak with a 6-3 win over the Texas Rangers Saturday night.

Hochevar has been pretty strong during his last 2 or 3 outings. Its too bad there is no hitting or defense here in Kansas City to go along with him and Greinke. It also really helps that Kauffman stadium is the 2nd or 3rd most pitcher friendly park in the majors. Fans here in KC are really excited about having Hochevar.

Glad to see he is dong good... Him and Burke are my all time favorite players. Btw, how is Hoch's little brother? Is he any good?
