Summer ball...

Not sure if you guys keep up with some of the summer ball action, but Blake Forsythe is playing with the Thomasville Hi Toms in the CPL. I'm sure some of the other guys are playing in other locations as well. I just follow Blake more since I know his family. In the first week of this wood bat league(they've only played 3 games) he is hitting .400, slugging 1.000 with 2 HR(one was a GS), and 6 RBI. Not too shabby.

Good to see him doing well and hopefully he can continue putting up those numbers this summer and into next season.

Blake is doing great. Josh Liles is suppose to join him there in July after completing a class. Lockwood, Polk I noticed were in the Nothwoods League. Grisham in the New England League. Davis and Morgado to play for US. Tanner Moore in California League. Haven't seen any other UT players on summer league sites.

Blake said that this was the most frustrating season he's ever had to go through. I think he's our most technically sound catcher, but his hitting killed him this year. He said he never got in to a rhythm and b/c his bat was so off he couldn't get any AB's to get back into rhythm. Just a nasty little cycle.
