You're totally missing the point. Anyone at any position in baseball that gets a call to the big leagues in his first full season, almost gets a starting job with the big league club at the start of his second full season and ultimately gets called up for what appears to be a good long while within the first month of play is doing anything but underachieving.

Drafting baseball players is the riskiest business in all of sports. If you can get any pitcher, whether he's your #1 pick or last round pick to be a #2 or 3 guy, you are doing something right and he's definitely not a bust.

he got called up to the bigs last year and now he's back for what looks like a long stay. More importantly, what you've failed to still answer is how has he proven you right? He hasn't had time to really prove anything other than he definitely has all the potential to make it.

i didn't overreact to your opinion. You said he has underachieved. You stated that as if it were fact. You have yet to show how it's possible for a 2006 draftee already in the bigs to be an underachiever. You are now using this "opinion" theory as a crutch to hold out to admitting it's impossible for him to either be underachieving or a bust.

because stats don't come anywhere close to telling the story in the minors. Look at Roger Clemens' stats while he rehabbed in the minors. Look at Rick Ankiel's stats when he first got called to the minors in Rookie League and A ball after he couldn't the ocean in the NL playoffs.

And to that, it's not even been two years since he was drafted. How is it possible to make such an early assumption as to a bust or being an underachiever?
