|  The Upcoming Stretch
Schedule 2007-2008 - UT Sports Official Site
We have a string of smaller schools to play ( James Madison, E. Michigan, etc.) then we jump into some conference play with LSU at home(starts March 14). Not sure how good LSU is but it would be nice to atleast win 2 out of 3 against them. Man, I'm excited about the basvols this year and hope to one day play for them.  |

| We need a change at shortstop
Or we are facing a tough year. You have to be solid up the middle defensively and we are not. Poor fielding and now hitting below Mendoza. Time to make a move at this position. IMO | |

| The problem is, we don't have anyone better than Lima at SS. Raleigh said earlier in the year that he was shocked at how bad the middle infielder depth was. Lima will come around, he hit around .280 last year. Do we bench Gomes and Lockwood too even though they're under the Mendoza line also.
I think that this lineup will eventually start getting better.

Lockwood
Griffin
Liles
Moore

| Wonder if a switch between Lima and Simunic would work?
I don't know how AS's arm is, but 2nd is a little easier to field than SS.
And this is only if the errors keep piling up. It's way too early for a move right now. | |
