I know this should go in the baseball fourm but I thought this was big news. Mostly because I've been saying they need to ditch the black for years.

I also think if they go to a new "Power T" O & W hat that it will be more marketable to students and fans. If they stay with New Era that will only help because the 5950 is where it's at when you want a fitted hat that is comfortable and stylish. You'll see baseball hats popping up at football and basketball games.

Raliegh is doing some good things and speaking the right words. I guess we'll just have to see if he has what it takes to get down between the lines in the SEC.

He definitely seems to be doing all the right things. If he can produce(and quickly) on the field, we may have another Pearl type.

And before the Fulmer detractors get on here, yes, that would put even more pressure on him since it would prove that Hamilton has "it" when coming to hiring new HCs.

I interviewed TR during the baseball media day on Monday, and I definately came away impressed. He seemed like he'd been here for a lot longer than 6 weeks. He's working incredibly hard, trust me.

Plus the guys that have met him seem to really take to him.

When I was at UT in the 70s, there was some black in the uniforms. The UT on the cap was there too. While I know most like the power T, I kinda like the UT logo, especially after UTejas tried to sue us over the use of the term UT about 15 years ago.

We had black uni's when we went to the CWS in the '50s. Black is a tradional color in UT baseball.
