WE ARE PICKING A 2-GAME AND 3-GAME SERIES DUE TO POTENTIAL INCLEMENT WEATHER THIS WEEKEND

Alabama Crimson Tide, 16-6

Projected Regional Team - No
Projected Order of Finish - Last in SEC West

TOP PROSPECTS, 2018 DRAFT
39 Chandler Taylor OF Alabama
46 Jake Walters RHP Alabama

TOP PROSPECTS, 2019 DRAFT
40 Deacon Medders RHP Alabama

IMPACT FRESHMEN
None

Alabama had what you'd call an interesting offseason to say the least. The Crimson Tide fired Greg Goff, who had just finished up his first season in Tuscaloosa. In turn, they raided in-state rival Auburn and hired heralded recruiter and assistant Brad Bohannon. Bohannon took over an ugly scholarship situation when he arrived at Bama, and though that's over with, he now has to find a way to create a winning culture. That might be difficult to accomplish in his first season. On the mound, the Tide will have a solid one-two punch in righties Jake Walters and Sam Finnerty. Walters is an experienced guy with composure, and he'll sit 91-92 and up to 93 with his fastball and a three-pitch mix. Very good fastball command is the key to his game. Meanwhile, Finnerty sits 90-92 with his fastball, which is commanded on both sides of the plate. He also has feel for a slider and changeup. Lefty Garrett Rukes, coming off an injury, is expected to occupy the No. 3 spot in the rotation, while Bohannon's staff is excited about sophomore righty Deacon Medders. Medders sits low-90s with his fastball, and has good command of the offering. He also has a quality changeup. Meanwhile, righty Davis Vainer, a sophomore, is expected to log significant innings with an above average breaking ball and improving fastball command.
Offensively, the Tide looks like a work in progress, but theres a solid foundation with the return of Chandler Taylor, Chandler Avant and Cobie Vance. Taylor needs to cut down on his strikeouts, but clearly has massive power. Taylor showed better plate discipline in the fall, but we'll see if that continues this spring. Meanwhile, Avant is an athletic guy with some power to the pull side and Vance is a spark plug type of hitter who plays the game at a high energy level. Newcomers to watch include C Sam Praytor, SS Jett Manning and OF Joe Breaux. Praytor has good feel to hit and should be an immediate offensive contributor, Manning is athletic with some speed and ability to make things happen and Breaux has good tools and feel to hit with power to his pull side.

please clarify......both picks are a 2-game series.

I'm assuming you meant to type 2-1 for a 3-game series since you predicted Sweep on a 2-game. Thats what I'm running with unless I hear differently.
