For us I predict to be drafted:

Senzel (top 10 pick overall, projected to now go #9 to the Tigers, Baseball America mock draft V4 released 5-27-16)
V. Jackson (2nd-4th round)
Rodgers(Jr.)(5th-10th round)

Other possible draftees:

Moberg
Hall
Lance
Cox
Martin(Jr.)

The 6 possible draftees I have listed above are small chances but some or all of them could go in the very late rounds(30th-40th).

I do think the 1st five I have listed above will go drafted but the rounds are very questionable. The only exception is Senzel who will no doubt be a top 10 pick. Vincent Jackson has all the tools.

He's projected anywhere from 2nd-6th rounds by most mock draft boards. I don't think he will fall past the 4th round. Senzel & V. Jackson are really the only 2 Vols that are locks to be drafted in the upper/higher rounds. The rest of the guys above are very questionable about even getting drafted.

We don't exactly have a draft filled talent roster. Some of the underclassmen draftees like Rodgers, Santiago, & Freeman might not get drafted high enough so they may come back to play again for another year. Like I said, the only 2 given/locks are Senzel & Jackson.

I think Rodgers might go undrafted. Just my guess

Jackson may very well be a 6-10rd senior $ saving draft which is very popular these days

I assume martin will be a late pick and go. At least I hope.

Hall should be late pick as well

Very realistic analysis.

That's why they call them Mock Drafts I reckon...:p

Yep. I just don't see Nick dropping down to #9 overall. I think he could even get into the top 5. I still think #6 overall to the A's is the best fit for him.

I will be somewhat surprised if he drops to #9 but these drafts you just never know.

I don't really follow MLB, but it looks like over 7 Million at #2 to 3.5 Million at #9...my question would be what is the best organization for him to end up with, who has the need, where will he get the best shot...I'm just not very familiar with MLB stuff.

There's two major considerations when it comes to MLB teams drafting. One is their management. How is the organization run? Do they give players fair chances in making it to the MLB level? Do they make the right decisions about moving players up & down or make the right trades based on logic?

The other consideration is depth or players in the minor league system. Does the MLB teams minors have enough depth at the position they draft? It has nothing to do with the MLB club level depth at the time of the draft. It's whether the players drafted have a better chance of advancing through the minors because of depth issues or players just not good enough already as starters.

Those are the two main things to consider in drafting a player. To me, I said Senzel would fit better at #6 when in reality he would be better off with going #9 to Detroit which is a much better run organization than the A's. Then, you bring up the money difference though. Yes, big drop-off in pay the further you fall down the draft board.

If Senzel was drafted by the A's at #6 he would be looking at around $4.5 million probably. The Tigers at #9 like you said falls off to ~$3-$3.5 million range. The Reds take him at #2 then yes he's looking at major bucks. $7 million+ wouldn't be out of the question.

Of these 3 teams though as far as being better off he would fit better with the Tigers because of their management & minors. He would be losing an awful lot of money though & I'm sure he doesn't want that.

I would love to see my Braves draft him at #3 overall. That would still be really good money. However, the Braves management is in shambles. They have the top minor league system in MLB in terms of players.

May take him longer to get to the bigs being drafted by the Braves but they way we are I woudn't want him to go there because of the situation. I want him to go to a team that gives him the best overall chance to make it to the MLB club.

Didn't Detroit take Stewie and AJ too? That would be cool...thanks for the info.
