Tennessee used timely, aggressive offense and a another strong start from lefty Aaron Soto to drive past the Auburn Tigers, 13-4, in Thursday night's series opener at Plainsman Park.

Soto challenged hitters tonight and made the Auburn hitters earn everything. No "free passes" on the base paths. Of course, it's easy to challenge hitters when you are pitching with a 6-run lead, but Soto had the good sense to do it. Many young pitchers would not have demonstrated such good judgment in pitching.
