Tennessee has 19 former players in professional baseball spending time on the field this season. Over the past week, several VFL's witnessed success as Kansas City's Luke Hochevar tossed 3.2 hitless frames to extend a seven-game streak.

He makes that bullpen even that more lethal. Since making the switch to a reliever he has been a very good pitcher. He struggled as a starter, but did not have the support and talent around him that the team has now. What is even more remarkable about his recent performance is that he is just coming back from TJ surgery. I do wonder if he will ever return to the starting rotation. He is still a young guy with a lot of career left ahead of him.

BTW - from all local media accounts here in KC, they say he is a real good guy. He represents the Vols well.

Luke was dealing tonight against Detroit. Retired all 8 guys faced including 3 strikeouts.
