Good hire. This corrects Serrano's biggest mistake when he was hired- not having a staff member who was heavily entrenched in the southeast. Larry Simcox brings a lot of credibility and baseball people in this part of the country know him and like him.

Have to think this probably ensures AJ is back next season. Larry was a 10th round pick his junior year at Ole Miss and returned for his senior year when he went in the 9th round. History may repeat itself.

UT has to be the only school in the country whose two most talented players are sons of coaches on the staff. This will tell you what a struggle getting quality players The Vols have had. Outside of Stewart, elite talent has been hard to get on campus.

:good!:

Now...get back down to the business of bringing in some good players and get our Vols back to the place everybody wants to go (don't want to say it out loud and jinx us. :)

GO BIG ORANGE!

With the deal done, several years late, it is now time to get down to business. Hope CDS can pull off a respectable season next year and they can then go on to build the program as it should be. As posted, maybe this brings AJ back. Hope so. Want this to work out for the long term.
