Weather is the predominant story.

Eastern Division
Missouri is 7-1. Not an overwhelming schedule. They played at tourney in Corpus Christi last weekend and their only loss came to host school who they beat later. UIC this weekend at home

Florida is 6-1 beating Miami 2 of 3 at Gainesville. They swept Rhode Island last week. This week they play Florida Atlantic midweek in Jupiter and swim as a group in some Stony Brook for 3 days.

South Carolina is 6-1 as they lost opener to CofC and swept Northeastern over weekend. As is norm, the Gamecocks will not leave their state for another 4 mos or so. (Actually next month) This week they play their yearly 3-game Drive-A-Lot series against Clemson in 3 different cities

Georgia is 5-1 as they beat Fla State 2 of 3 over weekend. This may be one of the Bulldogs "Up-Years" They have a tough midweek game against Kennesaw State and 3 at Ga. Southern in bucolic Statesboro,GA

Vanderbilt is 4-2 as they shifted their schedule and cancelled home series against UIC to play Indiana State in Florida. They won 2of 3 like they did opening weekend with Santa Clara St. And barring a plague of locusts or other stupid weather event, the Dores host UTM, WKU and 3 against Illinois St.

Kentucky is 3-3. All 3 of their losses were last week in a trip to SoCal. Losing midweek to USC and 2 of 3 to UCSB. They were manhandled in the losses but that may be a product of not seeing baseballs in daylight for 4 months. This week, 1 against Morehead (giggity) and three against Canisius. They play nobodies until SEC begins.

Western Division

Miss. State is undefeated over their typical early season patsy schedule but they host their second tournament this weekend including 6-2 Arizona Wildcats who lost 2 of 3 to Rice this weekend in Tucson. Next weekend they play host to USD. Which sounds good but the Toreros are 2-5 including losing 3/4 to Morehead St and 2/3 to Dallas Baptist.

Texas A&M is 7-0 with home sweeps of Holy Cross Fightin' Lockbaums and Penn State NAMBLAs. Brutal midweek game with Dallas Baptist. Then 1 with Incarnate Word and host 3 against Dartmouth.
Baptists->Catholics->Ivy Leaguers makes for an odd week.

LSU is 6-1 sweeps of Kansas & BC. Lost midweek to Nichols St. This week they host SE LA midweek and Princeton this weekend. (Can't get any more different than those schools)

Auburn is 6-2. Swept Radford. Lost midweek to USA. Opening weekend 2 of 3 against Binghampton. GaTEch, Alabama A&M and Jacksonville St this week.

Alabama is 4-2 in their homeless season. Lost 2 of3 @ Houston last weekend. Swept the Eastern Shore of MD opening weekend (something Gen'l Lee couldn't even do) Tide plays Ragin' Cajuns this weekend in Hoover after 2 midweek with Savannah St.

Arkansas is 4-2 after opening sweep of ND St. (why does that school play baseball?) & losing 2 of 3 at tourney in Mobile losing to UCF and Maryland (the western shore I guess) They did beat host So. Alabama. This week. 4 games against California at home. That'll be pleasant for the Golden Bears- February in Fayetteville.

Ole Miss is 4-2 2 of 3 to open with William AND Mary. (a little athletic menajatrois perhaps?) and 2 of 3 against Wright St. This weekend they get out of Miss and go to Central Florida for 3 games in the sun.

Tennessee has played the same number of home games on campus as Alabama.

Unfortunately, Alabama's stadium is under extensive renovation and construction.
