Dave Serrano announced the Vols 2014 baseball team awards on Tuesday. All-SEC First Team selection Christin Stewart was named the team MVP while Andy Cox and Nick Williams were co-Most Valuable Pitchers.

It was hard not to let Cox be MVP and best pitcher.

His extreme improvement won us several games. We would have won a few more earlier games had we known.

I wonder how a VN poll would turn out on that one, for me it's Stew as MVP, pretty easily, especially if there is a pitcher of the year award.

Even though he did obviously did not appear in as many games, I think Cox had more "big games" and won us more games than Stew (who I love)

WAR is a weird stat, but I would bet Cox' WAR # would be higher than Stewie's
