Up next for TN is a horrible (1-9) La Salle team who just lost 20-10 at Western Carolina

Not sure horrible is fair at this point. They certainly aren't good, but scoring 10 runs against WCU is not the mark of a horrible team, and is something to be concerned about. Its baseball and anything can happen. These two La Salle games are the definition of trap games with the ASU trip right behind them.

Look out college baseball world, Dave Serrano is in the house and the Big Orange is relevant again. Perfect start to the turnaround season.

I would agree that the Lasalle series could be a trap in that the team might be looking ahead to Arizona State.

I like that Serrano said at the beginning of the season that its time to start winning and no more excuses. We all fiqured it would be about year 3 before he could start turning things around and it looks like it early on in the season.

Sorry didn't see Arky and Ole Miss. I know its early but I would love to have a semi easy conference schedule early on and gain some confidence. On the other hand if we have a tough conference schedule it may get us ready for a post season run.

@aaronfitt: "Tons of quality candidates for Top 25 spots. Even if all 4 SEC teams drop out, Ole Miss, Tenn. and UK could break in. Such a deep league."

This is consistently the case, year to year. The SEC is the best baseball conference in the country. There will be NO easy weekends in this league. As I have said from day one, the recipe for success in this league is to get to .500 by avoiding sweeps on the road and winning series at home. That will get you to Hoover and a regional. From there anything can happen.

Another no drams all to easy win after a nailbiter.

Year three of Serrano vols are kicking ass damn it's freakin great.
Not overreacting because the division games haven't started but so far the vols look like they have the pitching and winning to produce a winning record in the sec.
