Virginia takes their turn as the ACC team that should not be #1. Cavs did rally to win second game today against VMI in Wilmington, NC

Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn are already off to shaky starts the first weekend.

Vols Start 2-0

So. Carolina is playing their typical stay at home schedule.as always, Cocks don't leave the state until SEC (2nd week vs UK) Why a top tier team is scared to leave the state every season is beyond me.

Vanderbilt starts quick on road in California. credit to them playing a schedule every season that SoCar would never play.

UK got off to a great start and fell on their face today to a VMI team using their 3rd or 4th starter.

Georgia may suck. I have never understood this bipolar program

Florida struggled more than they should have against Maryland going 2-1 at home.

Missouri sounds subpar

Ole Miss went to Florida and had success against Midlevel program with a decent history

Miss. State starts with their perennial cupcake Feb/March schedule.

Alabama had way to much problems with ST. Louis.

Auburn had too much trouble with 2nd tier Big10 teams

It looks like some programs are going to have some tough seasons.

Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Missouri, could all easily finish behind the Vols.

• Through four games, Vanderbilt’s starting pitchers have still yet to allow an earned run in 21.1 innings of work. Walker Buehler (5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 6 K, 2 BB) took the reins in Wednesday’s 5-1 win against Lipscomb as the No. 9 Commodores improved to 4-0.

• No. 23 Florida scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to avoid North Florida’s upset bid, winning 8-7. Second baseman Casey Turgeon got the go-ahead two-out single, his third hit of the game. All three of the Gators’ eighth-inning runs were unearned.

Yep. #Gators are jus ridiculously talented on mound RT @steffanbaseball: @KendallRogersPG Ryan Harris was up to 96 as well for the gators.

The South Carolina pitching staff has suffered a blow as junior Evan Beal will be out at least through the Clemson series and potentially the start of Southeastern Conference play. ~ The Big Spur
