The Tennessee offense exploded for a season-high 17 hits and three pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout as the Volunteers cruised past Alcorn State, 16-0, on Friday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

I'm excited to see Owenby get his first start tomorrow. This Visciano kid is gonna be really good as well. Even though Alcorn isn't SEC material, momentum is momentum. And there's not a better time to pick up some momentum.

We hit the ball very well tonight and some of the defensive plays especially the Maddox diving catch on the liner and the Simcox play where he ranged all the way behind 2nd and made the off balance throw were incredible. You have to win the one's you are supposed to win like you should win them and we did that tonight...Godley pitched well again and alot of guys hit some ropes...Was it against the best team in the nation? No but a win is a win and we played great tonight.
