Team Tennessee Jr Sunbelt

Team Tennessee went 10-0 this week at the Jr Sunbelt in McAlester, Oklahoma. Future Vol Hayden Stone sealed the deal Wednesday night for Tennessee as they beat Arizona 7-2. Stone allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits with 9 strikeouts. Would be great to get a few more of these guys on campus too!

I am curious to know what schools recruited this event and if the Tennessee staff was there. It's my understanding the best players in the state make up the roster.

SEC schools that weren't in the tournament were in attendance. Tim Corbin was there almost every game.

Wow! I am very surprised that the Vols didn't have a representative there. A college coaching buddy of mine said that the high school coaches take this very seriousy in their attempt to get the best players in the state for this team. If Corbin was there then you can bet the recruits noticed who wasn't.

Yeah I'm not re sure why they weren't there. It's a great event with 10 games packed into about 6 days.

Sequatchie's Dakota Hudson was on the team. Really good to see the young talent showing off.

Hudson had a good week. Didn't pitch a lot but played a key role in the win against Missouri. I'm not sure why we didn't land him on campus. State was applying pressure like they always do.

Seems really solid on State also, he loves the fact that so many pro pitchers have come out of the program. But may never make it to campus as several MLB teams are looking into him now also.

Stone had a solid outing at the Tournament of Stars at the USA complex. 4 innings. 4 hits 7 strikeouts. 1 run.
