Yes, we bought out of the Easton contract and switched to DeMarini for this season for bats and batting gloves.

Your obviously ahead of us in that regard!

Any idea what it costs to buy out of that contract?

Another thing... We broke at least 3 Easton bats at the handle between our last regular season series(UK) and regionals. If we're going to breaking bats, I much prefer wood to jagged aluminum...

True power hitters are not affected by the new bats. The difference is now balls that are mis-hit don't leave the yard. Guys were getting to the point where duck farts were flying out. BBCOR stopped that.

Wasn't much, the quality of the product allowed us to get out of it easily for not ripping the bats publicly.

We broke 4-5 Easton bats. However, it seemed split on preference. Some guys liked DeMarini more, some liked Easton, and a few liked Rawlings.

We had all three so we let them choose which ones they liked best.

It's a 180 from a few years ago. Wyatt Allen was drafted very high with a ERA in the 6s back in the Smokey Mt Classic days, before the new bats.

Kent State and Stoney Brook both playing for a trip to the CWS today. Hard to believe but I really feel the new bats made it possible for those two teams to get this far. I am really pulling for both to make it happen.

Do we know for sure that Easton didn't buy us out?
