Jared Allen starting on the mound is a shocker. Anybody know if he even worked as a pitcher in the fall? I am guessing not!

Pretty good pitcher in HS, I think they're just seeing what they have for next year. We'll see who wants to be here over these last 4 games.

Looking at the pitching stats, I understand why Serrano is letting a position player pitch.

Of course, the offensive stats make you wonder if maybe he shouldn't let the pitchers hit.

To suggest that what a kid does these last few games will reveal their desire to wear orange isnt fair especially when looking at Allen. My guess is he hasn't thrown to a live hitter since the summer. A kid like him will give his all but tonight won't be pretty for him and that won't say anything about his desire to be a Vol
