| Baseball hat bills have been bent forever (in fact we used to hate new hats because the bills were flat) on the sides by PLAYERS for a really good reason-functionality. The shade for your peripheral vision, especially. Blinders that can be adjusted. It worked for the sun and it worked under lights. Sunglasses don't do the same thing, but they aid when the ball is right in the sun. I guess now trendy is more important than function. If enough trendies wear a silk top hat with a feather on teevee I expect that will be the next gear for players and fans.

That ridiculous looking hat above with flat bill has enough bill material o it to make a freaking sleeping bag. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

Posted via VolNation Mobile | perhaps it's my whiteness, but I only go with the curved bill as well. Honestly, the only hats I wear anymore are the Franchise/Twins/Forty Seven brand hats. They've changed names more times than i can remember, but I keep sticking with them.
Call me whatever you want, but I laugh at the white kids wearing the flat billed stuff. They look goofy as he** to me. Non-whites pull it off better, but I still think it's a goofy look. Especially tipped to the side and as part of a baseball uniform. |
