"The race for the final SEC Tournament has intrigue as well. Tennessee leads Alabama by a game and Kentucky by two. All three teams are underdogs this weekend. Let's say Tennessee wins one at Auburn, Alabama wins one from Ole Miss, and Kentucky gets one from LSU (or they all take two, either way they. That keeps the standings the same heading into the final weekend. Kentucky heads to Georgia where they could potentially sweep Georgia. If that happens, Kentucky could sneak into the SEC Tournament if Alabama takes two of three from Tennessee. That scenario would result in a three time tie that would be resolved by record vs the top seeds (common opponents only) until the tie is broken.

Those scenarios: vs Florida (all 1-2), vs Arkansas (N/A since Tennessee did not play Arkansas), vs South Carolina (the Wildcats series win over South Carolina gives them the edge), Ole Miss (UA plays this weekend, Tenn 2-1, UK 1-2), Auburn (UT plays this weekend, UA 2-1, UK 1-2).

What all that means is if Kentucky wins four out of six to end in a three-way tie, they get the 8th spot. If they do not, the Alabama/UT series winner will get it (assuming Tennessee does not gain a game on Alabama this weekend)."
