Diamond is on fire..

Diamond's talents didn't need to be developed... just utilized effectively in an offense built for her. Fever are pretty weak -- but she looked very good for her first game. With Williams and DeShield the Sky have two of the most athletic players in the league.

The offense was built around each girl's abilities...Read N React is an offense with motion and permission to break the motion at any point you think you can make something happen....Perfect for DD.

DD needed a coach within the group, that she couldn't "put in awe".
And vice versa,
she needed a coach within the group she could be in awe of

That is what this type of player has to have.... An influence that knows what they are capable of, and accepts nothing less.

Ah, this is sample of one. And Diamond had some spectacular performances for the LVs as well (with Holly as coach). Consistency was DD's problem not the ability to look fantastic on a given night. To say that this one good shooting night means that Holly was impeding her is just really, really dumb; stupendously dumb.

Diamond DeShields had an impressive stat line: 18 points on 7-11 shooting, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, only 1 turnover.

The Fever could use Mercedes.

To say there was not a coaching issue that affected her consistent performance is equally stupendously dumb.

How bout we sit back and see what her season looks like....not just one game

Kind of stupid.

Just like Tom Brady became a superstar after he left Michigan.

And Michael Jordan also got better after he left North Carolina.

Peyton Manning got better after he left Tennessee.

Candace Parker improved her game after she left the LVs.

Actually, the list of players who improve when they move to the pro level could get kinda long.
