Apparently the Lady Vols had a closed scrimmage against NC State in Asheville on October 29th. Just curious if anyone has any inside information on how that played out since the public isn't allowed to watch. Probably not, but just curious.

No television revenues to split. No ticket sales to split. But plenty of travel expenses for the team to pay for. Who came up with this idea?

This is all you could come up with? Pathetic response. I'm sure that bus ride across the mountain almost broke the athletic department. What kind of miserable person comes up with this kind of response?

If we played there totally informal as Holly only spoke about playing against one another and how the game tonight would be fantastic that we could play another team.

Scrimmages have been around since the beginning of basketball and serve plenty of valuable purposes.

Absolutely. Frankly, practices aren't typically a heckuva lot of fun, and pre-season practices for freshmen can be overwhelming and draining, both physically and mentally.

A scrimmage against another team gives everyone a nice break in the monotony and drills and lets them get a taste of what a real game is like, and also lets them get rid of some of the jitters instead of making them wait to do that for the REAL first game.

Scrimmages are FUN for players and helpful to coaches. Why anyone would begrudge them that is beyond me. :loco:

Trolls need their pre-season scrimmages, too!
