Not too shabby for a program on the decline, eh?

Except for the fact that the LVs used to lead the nation in attendance every year. Now we are 2nd in our conference. The fanbase stll loves the LVs but winning brings everyone out to the games.

Sounds pretty good until you see it's almost a 12% drop from the previous year.

Avg. home attendance per game
2009-10: 12,254
2010-11: 12,537
2011-12: 14,414 (Pat's last year)
2012-13: 11,390
2013-14: 11,038
2014-15: 10,375
2015-16: 10,412
2016-17: 9,184

Uconn's attendance has dropped as well. I hear a lot of you saying, win and the crowd will come. Well what's going on in Storrs!? I believe UCONN was 3 or 4...

What's the price difference for a UCONN game compared to South Carolina?

I'm not 100% sure but I know UCONN's prices are way more. You can say the same for UT.
That's what I was going to say, the more successful the more they feel the need to charge. I could remember when it was hard to get a LV ticket. If you couldn't make a game and wanted to sell, people would pay premium price. Now you can't give them away. I checked a couple of years ago and you could get season tickets at SC a lot cheaper than at UT.

2016-17 USC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
SEASON TICKET PRICING
Click Map to Enlarge
$60 Reserved
Gamecock Club membership required for sections 105 & 114. (I think club membership can be as little as $100/year.)
$40 Corner Reserved
$30. General Admission

From the UT site, "Lady Vol basketball season tickets in the 100 and 200 levels require a minimum $1,000 donation per seat on the side court and a minimum $100 donation per seat in the corners and behind the goal for Tennessee Fund ..."
Plus the cost of the tickets. I can't remember what we pay, but I think it is around $300 each. I could be way off; I can't find the cost on the web, and I'm too lazy to pull my order paperwork:p.

That's a lot of money UT wants and effectively prevents many families from being able to attend. USC has kept their tickets in an affordable range. The "pay back" for them is their arena is pretty full and supportive of the team.

I personally think UT will price themselves out of the market, attendance will continue dropping even if they start winning more. If they don't start winning, the arena will be dead. That's a shame, but understandable.

Edit: Looks like $1,155 for 4 tickets.

I know what you mean almost $600 for 2 in section 116(not that great a location). Plus we live in Kingsport and only make about half or less of the games. Debated hard about renewing but decided to go ahead, just found out I'm in need of hip replacement so that limits further the amount of games I can attend. Used to be people were eager to buy tickets from you, past couple of years I've had a hard time even giving them away. SMH I guess I'll just have to :air_kiss: that money goodbye

SC with all its nearly free tickets also dropped in attendance by, what was it, 2000 people.

It's everywhere.
