Tennessee Lady Vols Set Another Record

Holly and the Lady Vols set another Lady Vol record, The Lady Vols lose in the second round for the first time. When it got down to crunch time, we took some stupid shots. Why was Jackson shooting threes? Why wasn't Reynolds shooting the ball when she was not being guarded?Why wasn't Russell more aggressive during crunch time? Again she started watching Louisville going to the hoop while she stood around. Even the announcers were talking about Lady Vols shooting choices and their lackadaisical play in crunch time. They did not through Holly under the bus but said that this is the way Tennessee has been playing all year.

The Ladies played well in spots, however, I still believe that coaching and playing need a complete makeover. This team will have far too much talent next year to waste it. Good talent is a terrible thing to waste.

Don't let purple prose obfuscate your true feelings about Holly. Methinks you disapprove of her reign of error. But, who doesn't? However, I think afterbirth might be a more fitting metaphor for the UT women's basketball program in the wake of Pat's departure. What should be aborted is Holly's contract. Retroactively, if possible.

Apparently the LVs setting new records like this is exactly what the University and the AD want. Otherwise they would make a change.

Holly's coaching resume is pretty consistent; mediocre and continually under achieving. And this for an institution that used to be the face of women's basketball in the not so distant past.

I guess our AD has shown who the boss is and is showing that they won't let athletics run amuck at UT like other universities allow. We will be a middle of the pack type of school in all athletics (see men's football or basketball for other examples). Sad.
