There have been many posts on the forum about the Lady Vols win over South Carolina which refer to coaching strategy in the fourth quarter and to a "questionable" call by officials. The slowdown strategy that Holly had our Ladies use worked very well, with the exception that our Ladies missed four lay ups during that slowdown set. Actually five, but a foul was Caiden before the shot. So ,the slowdown not only took time off the clock, but set players in position for close shots. Not Holly's fault that those were missed. Kudos to Holly and staff for taking a page from Hall of Famer Dean Smith's playbook. And on the call at the end, there is nothing questionable about a call when an offensive player's progress toward the goal is impeded. That is always a foul and was called correctly.
Congratulations to our Lady Vols on an exciting victory. Keep up the good work!!
Go Lady Vols!

:rock:LV only had 9 turnovers during the entire game which has been a major problem in our previous loses. I have been very critical in the past on DeShields and her turnovers, against SC she may have had only 2 or 3 in the entire game. If she can continue this, DeShields will continue to be a major factor in our future games and the tournaments. I congratulate her on her improved play.:dance2:

That same foul was called on Russell in the closing minutes as well when a girl tried to drive by her. Of course, announcers had nothing to say about that one.

That same call was also made against the LV's near the beginning of the game as well.
