I'm excited as well. Favorite time of the yr. My Sparks and CP3 won the 'Ship and I'm going for the Lady Vols to make a run at another title!

Glad to see at least one positive section in VolNation.

Let's see how long it lasts.

So who do we expect to see take the floor as our starting five?

I think

Reynolds, Deshields, Nared, Nunn, Russell

I think
Reynolds, Deshields, Nared, Harris, Russell

Harris won't start. From everything I've heard she's working very hard, but is still far behind because she is out of shape and still struggling with back to the basket offense.

I would say Reynolds, Deshields, Nared, Nunn, and Russell.

Dunbar could take over Nunn's spot after a few games if she comes off the bench and outshines Nunn, but I think Nunn will start first simply because of Dunbar's foot.

Nunn will start because she has 4 years of experience....even with sitting last year...she still was involved!!!:clapping:

Yeah she's been having to take it easy in practices and has been going to extra rehab sessions due to a sore foot. Apparently it was a problem last season, but they are taking extra precautions due to their low numbers. She should be perfectly fine. They're just being cautious.

Anyone have to sit out and serve suspensions this year due to offseason indiscretions?

I hope her lack of back to the basket offense does't cause her not to play. She should at least (with us only having 9 available) see a few minutes a game if nothing to spell Russell and Nunn (Nunn can play some 5 while Nared slides to the stretch 4 along with Dunbar). She's a defender/rim protector and she also has 5 fouls to waste utilize her please Holly. Kiah Stokes wasn't all there offensively but Geno found ways to incorporate her into the game and allowed her to play her game which didn't hurt the team. Holly (which I'm sure knows this by now) has to understand and give everyone certain roles, not everyone will score but if you have players like Dunbar (3pt shooter), MeMe (Lockdown defender), and Harris (Shot-blocker and Rebounder) who are specialist and play certain roles utilize them in their roles and bring them a long to do the other things you need them to do. If she (Harris) spends a season barely playing when it is only 9 players I am afraid she will have a career like Nia Moore and in a sense come off as a wasted scholarship and when we are trying to return to glory we can not afford to "waste" scholarships

No, I definitely think she'll play. I was just refuting the other post saying she would start. I don't see her starting for at least 2 seasons.

To be honest (and I could be wrong) I don't see her starting at all and I think her 4 years here will be similar to Alex Fuller where she is strictly here to play a role and will start should injuries or a suspension occurs but for the most part will come off the bench and play. But I agree that she won't start.
