How?????????? How could you think this was pertaining to football when it's posted in the Lady Vol forum??

Some people use the "new posts" button and it doesn't show what forum the posts are from. That's my guess. :hi:

Chasty Carter has signed with Vandy, she has not asked for a release, and it is an NCAA violation to recruit or contact, a signed athlete. So in no possible way, is Tennessee recruiting here!

Walker is a wing and no longer a recruit for us. Chasity Patterson is the Chasity we are recruiting... Out of Texas and holds an unconditional offer.

What I have been able to determine seems that Meghan Walker is UConn or Notre Dame. Waiting to see who the coach of Vanderbilt is because it could hurt Notre Dame's chances with Walker.

I am the scribe only - No one identified the LVs latest recruit until it was a done deal. the purpose of this list included best guesses, social media and "deep throat conversations in dark passages with staff of the LVs. I've listened over the years to numerous soon to graduate teens on how they will make decision on their futures. Don't think I've ever heard the term "strong lean." smile

That, or perhaps they are just failing miserable in their attempts to be funny.

And every time I look at the list of those who have been candidates for president this year? No wonder being funny is getting harder.

Here are the ones who have us listed in Hoopgurlz for 2017. Several don't have anyone listed yet including Dorie and KK.

The Hoopgurlz listings are frequently incorrect and/or not updated on any kind of regular basis.

For example, the following quote is from a Feb 4, 2016 ESPNW article on Chasity Patterson, the no1 PG/no4 overall player in their 2017 rankings. You will note that she is not listed in your Hoopgurlz compilation as considering Tennessee because the ranking list, which was updated within the last month, shows no schools available.

"Patterson figures to be the second member of her family to play college sports. Her sister, Destiny, finished her athletic eligibility in volleyball earlier this school year, starting about half her team's games the past two seasons as a 5-foot-6 setter/defensive specialist at the University of Houston.

Chasity, who is 17, has yet to choose a college, although she rattled off six favorites: UCLA, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma and Kentucky.

She said she wants to make a decision by the end of this summer and made clear the No. 1 quality she's looking for in a school.

"I want to win," she said."

Clearly, she has a list of schools and Tennessee is on it!

I don't take Hoopgurlz info at face value. Each of the recruits I have listed on the initial recruiting post have another source indicating interest in Tennessee.

I appreciate your hard, work, and I hope my out cry that we cannot recruit Carter, as she has signed with Vandy, in anyway a detraction from my enjoyment to see a dream list, but more in just noting, others who have even suggested such a thing, are suggesting, we would violate NCAA rules, and for a recruit who has never even stated she might want to switch. For Carter, beside the education, she is the best thing a new coach can build on, and their is no better place for her than Vandy, she is a lucky girl!

I like the list, but I guarantee, we sign at least 3
2 guards if not 3, Holly knows are guards are aa weakness, she addressed the post, we will add some, but she will be a guard oriented recruiter going forward, she lost a gift to the final four, because she had one guard with experience, Reynolds, and two hands. Carter should not have played, but, I will admit, Jackson and really sadly Middleton were never brought along enough to be able to effectively play in the elite 8. Had Carter had both hands, we would have taken Syracuse, even, with Graves injury. We were stopped in the back court, too much time. Holly is a point guard at heart, check the rafters! She will, get guards, and if she fails, well it will be failing her way

Another reason Syracuse won the game was on red hot shooting from the arc..Tennessee couldn't do anything to stop them, and players were constantly losing their man with the switching defense. Holly's three attempts at a final four have been thwarted by the opponent having great three point shooting games..

two years ago? I think that was a low-scoring game. I would say that we were thwarted in two of the games--louisville and maryland--by our own crappy, panicky play. We completely lost our composure against Louisville, and we did the same thing against Maryland: Our offense was terrible in both of those games, as I recall. Terrible offense pretty much defines UT over much of the last decade.

Yes, Maryland two years ago was a low scoring game and a close game for at least the first half anyway. If memory serves me though, wasn't it lexi brown who came out in the second half and put the game out of reach with her three point shooting? I don't disagree about the putrid offense Tennessee has put out there for many years, however the poor perimeter defense really started to rear it's ugly head in holly's first year as head coach and continues to be a major issue.

I don't remember the names, but it was the big girl. I just remember 3 point shooting and driving right by us. We looked lost and scared. Not one of my favorite experiences:sad:.

Boxer, La Gran Dame is very ill. She will be twelve soon so we are very concerned; taking lots of pics of her with the little one. Making memories for the baby.

My take on the Lady Vols since Holly took over is that if you can't consistently score 70 points a game you are going to lose several games. You are always going to have hot players like the Va. Tech game and the Syracuse game where we put players on their three point shooter and she scored anyway. We need to have a dynamic offense that can consistently score over 70 points and we'll win a lot more games. If we had scored seventy in every game we played last season we only lose four games. Making offense important and putting points on the board cures a lot of problems.

It all starts with summer work outs. . . The player I have approached about working with her this summer, has now approached Holly. . . I have workouts aimed at working with this girl on shooting, Speeding up her attack on layups off the dribble, finishing with initiating contact on drives and and better use of her natural athleticism. . . I should find out later this week if I am given permission to work out with this player.
