Per KNS.

DESTIN, Fla. — Tennessee sophomore guard Jannah Tucker plans to transfer after finishing the first session of summer school, according to Lady Vols women’s basketball coach Holly Warlick.

“She wants to get closer to home,” said Warlick, who is attending the SEC spring meetings this week. “We talked about this in January. She just said she was really homesick.”

Warlick said Tucker didn’t know where she might transfer.

The good news about this, looking from it from the outside, there is no question, or dirty laundry with this transfer. You sometimes worry when players leave a program, 'what is really going on' and we don't have that with Jannah's case.
I'm with CHW, it just sucks (knee).
Good Luck Jannah :)

Sad to see her go but wish her the very best. If there was ever someone who deserved to find success and happiness, it's this young lady. To me, she'll always be a LVFL!

I knew this would come out eventually, but I didn't want to put a name on it until it was done. This has been in the works for the past month or so, in terms of getting all paperwork done.

I never understood why so many believed Jannah was going to be the player that took the LV's to another level. As someone who has dealt with major surgery for both myself and other family members - you are never the same. It was clear Jannah had trouble getting up and down the court. She should take the long view and ensure she can walk up and down steps when she is in her 60's. I wish her the best and I mean for her health.

Sorry to see you go but you have to do what is best for you.

Serious question here, is there a LVFL or is it just VFL?

I wish her the best, but I am not sad about this. Frees up a scholarship, hopefully to be used to sign a great player. I truly believe her knee is going to prevent her from playing anywhere.

Does Holly really need 15 scholarship players to win a championship? UConn won the last two years with a six-man rotation. Sometimes chemistry and teamwork are more important than numbers.

really hate that, but I wish nothing but the best for Jannah in all that she has been through. it sucks that we never got a chance to see what she could do 100% healthy! she always & will be my favorite lady vol; she was so high spirited & humble actually got to meet her a couple times.

It's not even about freeing up a scholly. I don't care if she was on a basketball scholarship until she graduated and never again played the game again while she was at UT. That doesn't matter one bit. We all were and still are just rooting for JT to sort of get back to the player she was before the whole DV situation. I wish her nothing but the best. She's one of the most amazing and most humble person you'd ever meet.

exactly!!! CHW said it herself “I didn’t care if she ever played. I just wanted her to have a foundation and family atmosphere after all she’s been through.”

My point simply was if she doesn't want to be here, it is good that we are able to free up a scholarship. She is choosing to leave

I just heard that J. Tucker will be leaving Tennessee. I hope she will be happy and continue to heal and be strong again.

Just sorry we did not get to see her demonstrate her talent. She could have been such an impact player. It is time for her to move on and become all she can be.

God's speed and best of luck Ms.Tucker. You will always be a part of our Lady Vol family.

You know she probably never got the proper rehab on that knee with all her personal problems in high school and with that whacko boyfriend she had. Beautiful girl though. Hope she can get into some television work like sports reporting.

I am saddened by the news of JT leaving. Was so looking forward to seeing her healthy and playing well. She's been through so much in her young life. Hope she doesn't return home and have to encounter ex-bf !

Who is drose and if you know him/her then you can save time by telling him/her yourself. Then you won't have to waste anymore of your time here will you?

He's talking about Derrick Rose. You can recover from knee surgery but it has to be a top notch surgeon like most colleges do have these days and also top notch rehab specialists which I suspect she didn't have plus with her personal problems she probably wasn't able to stick to her regimen. And, the problem is if you don't get that proper rehab from the start it is difficult to go back and correct it.

I don't know who Derrick Rose is.

Regardless, I agree with what you say. Surgery is difficult. It can literally kill you. It changes you. Best of luck to Jannah. Sounds like she will need a lot of it.
