with a slightly above-average conference record and one game above 500 record for the year, playing 10th seed Florida Atlantic, with a losing record for the year.

Watching this game, it's clear that neither team has much talent. T. Summitt has an amazing chance to show his chops at La. Tech in the next few years--rebuild the program. He is in fertile recruiting territory but of course will have to steal some prospects from bigger schools, including LSU. He's a very young guy with very little experience, but he's been around the game forever....It will be interesting to see how he handles this opportunity. DeMoss is with him and should help him a lot.

Gonna need one of those trademark Summitt speeches. Down 11 at the half is just right to rally the troops for a comeback win.

Hopefully he proves himself at LA Tech and has great success. If he get's few Conference USA titles, and a couple deep runs in the NCAAT, then we can fire Warlick and bring Tyler back home. I'd bet money he could of coached at UT instead of Warlick, and had the same success she has had.

This team Tyler inherited is senior-laden, individually talented, but driving him crazy.

They are, in his words, an "intuitive" team. They don't think well (analytically, situationally) on the court, forget basic things they've gone over again and again in practice, and continue to make "freshman mistakes" this late in the season.

They were recruited to play run-and-gun basketball by the previous coach. Next year he will have his freshmen plus the two girls who transferred from Marquette to play for him.

For true sports fans, the most intriguing question is a dooley: is the current team Summitt's "Team 1" or will next year's be Team 1?
