Pat Summitt named Ariel Massengale the starting point guard at Tennessee when she was still in high school. The challenge ever since has been living up to the billing.

That was def an all American type performance. Both her and burdick are playing great since the very unfortunate injury to izzy. Id love LOVE for us to get a rematch against those terps. Gotta watch out for Mincy though, she's a very good player.

Massenagle has been a changed player ever since Izzy's injury. It is crazy: She was noticeably different in the second half of the game in which Izzy got injured--more energetic, more aggressive, more confident offensively and especially with her shot. Her play was close to terrible before the injury and since then she's been playing maybe the best of her UT career. All we can say is, keep it up.

She did have a great game, but I was disappointed that CHW sat her down the stretch while she was tied for the Lady Vols' record for 3-pointers in a single game. She had a chance when she came back in, but she didn't get a look. She hit 8 and tied the record with M. Simmons. She was awesome tonight.

She was out of her mind good tonight. The whole team was awesome, they could have won by 50. Since Izzy's season ending injury, this team has been on a mission. Don't stop Lady Vols.

The end of the game brought tears to my eyes seeing Izzy standing on the court with the ball in her hands as the seconds ticked away. What a tribute to a great player and a great young lady. Thanks Izzy for four great years. :good!::clapping:

We could have beat UConn with that kind of shooting---11 threes and 47 or so percent for the game. But then UConn would have played a lot better defense than vandy. Still, we have been shooting it well lately. Massengale might be THE key to our NCAA tourney: you have to make some threes, and getting even four from her a game is a good thing. We probably will need to make 6+ as a team to win some tournament games.
