Kalani Brown, the state’s most coveted girls basketball recruit, and one of the top recruits in the nation, will announce her college choice on Friday afternoon at her Slidell home.

Her mother, Dee Brown, said that the 6-foot-6 senior center has narrowed her choices to Texas A&M, Baylor and Tennessee.

From what i hear it`s looks like Baylor. This is news coming out Texas.

I think we can rule out distance as being a factor.
College Station is 7 hours from them, Knoxville is 8 hours from them. Waco is 8 hours from them.

Seems her Parents relationship with Mulkey and Barmore from Louisiana Tech days may be the deciding factor for her. They have a lot of players on scholarship they keep recruiting going to have to run somebody off.
We have plenty of room and playing time. She would be a key player for us next season.

Honestly, I think we get her. I think she would've committed to Baylor already if she was leaning that way. We have the least amount of post depth and she noted the big fan support as a big plus.
