Possibly the best we have had, and we have had some very good ones.

Maybe the best overall--but not sure if the pitching is good enough. It will be good but perhaps not great--and great pitching means a ton in women's softball. We had the best pitcher in the country three or so years ago--forget her name--and should have won the title. But couldn't get a clutch hit and score the 1 run we needed and kind of gagged the title away to arizona state, I think. Thankfully, pitching doesn't totally dominate women's softball as it did until the last couple of years--but it's still crucial. Will be exciting to follow this team.

Monica Abbott was a fantastic pitcher, and she did not have a lot of support in hitting, but this team has some outstanding pitchers and the best hitting as a team that we have had. We will be very good. Ellen just pitched a no-hitter today. There will be many more. And Ivy is great also, plus the new pitchers.
