Lady Vols UT Products Claim Record 10 Medals
Tennessee products collected a school-record 10 medals at the 2012 Olympics in London, surpassing the mark of eight set at Atlanta in 1996. The mark of 10 also ranked seventh among all schools and second among SEC programs.

HOLY COW! "Pat Summitt (Played at UT Martin and won 1976 silver medal in basketball during a time she was also serving as UT's coach; Coached U.S. women to 1984 gold medal)"

If I'm reading this right, she won a silver as a player whilst coaching the vols as well. Personally, this adds to the respect I have for Pat. Has anyone heard of this before? I don't have time to google right now; were the lady vols big back then? Did she play with any of her players from the team?

If I am not mistaken, she was on the Olympic team with Nancy Liberman.
